Consumer Alerts Tracker helps U.S. consumers compare affected products, official risks, and event-specific actions. It is not a government service and has no affiliation with CPSC or FDA.
How records are created
The collector retrieves machine-readable CPSC and FDA enforcement records. Fields are copied, deterministically normalized, grouped by official event identity, and linked back to their source. Generative AI is not used to write or complete recall facts.
Two public page states
Actionable means the associated evidence identifies an affected item, states a risk, and provides an event-specific action. Limited means one or more of those facts is unavailable or the consumer scope cannot yet be established. Limited pages remain available for direct lookup but are noindex and ad-free.

Vehicles, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, bulk ingredients, industrial components, and professional-only equipment are outside this service.
Corrections and conflicts
A visitor can trigger an automatic official-source recheck but cannot directly edit a fact. Government records control when an associated manufacturer page differs; any conflict is disclosed rather than silently merged.
Operator privacy
The operator does not publish a personal, team, or company identity. Trust is instead supported through public methodology, source status, fact provenance, material change history, correction routes, and a stable contact channel. No invented experts, credentials, authors, or bylines are used.
